JAF and Zuri Health Successfully Conclude Four-Day Free Medical Outreach in Ubulu Uku, Delta State, and Uromi, Edo State

We are excited to share the successful completion of our recent four-day free medical outreach in Ubulu Uku, Delta State, and Uromi, Edo State. From September 13th to 17th, 2024, our team, in collaboration with Zuri Health, provided much-needed healthcare services to about over two thousand community members, covering dental and eye care, laboratory tests, general consultations, and pharmacy support.

Our visit to Uromi was marked by a warm reception from His Royal Highness, Anselm Eidenojie II, The Ojuromi of Uromi. He expressed his appreciation for the positive impact of our healthcare services on his community. His Royal Highness’s support was invaluable in facilitating a seamless outreach in Uromi.

Reflecting on our journey, Co-founder Julius Agenmonmen shared:

“Last year, my wife and I established the Julius Agenmonmen Foundation to give back. Having faced my health challenges, I was fortunate to have the resources to take care of them. We wanted to express our gratitude to God, and we felt the best way to do that was by helping the underserved and less privileged in our society.”

Since our launch, we have been committed to supporting communities that lack access to quality healthcare. One of our first major initiatives was donating a fully equipped eye center at St. Camillus Hospital in Uromi, where our co-founder Julius Agenmonmen was born. This act of service set the tone for our ongoing mission to improve healthcare access for underserved communities.

During this outreach, our dedicated healthcare professionals worked diligently to provide the highest quality of care. Patients received not just treatment, but also valuable education on nutrition, oral hygiene, and preventive care—essential knowledge that will help them maintain long-term health and wellness.

Dr. Uche Agenmonmen, Co-founder and a low-vision specialist, emphasized the importance of our work:

“We are reaching those in our society who don’t have access to quality healthcare. At these medical camps, we focus on eye care to ensure that people enjoy good vision throughout their lifetime. It’s one of the key measures we are taking to prevent blindness in these communities.”

The smiles and gratitude of the beneficiaries were the most rewarding part of this experience. Seeing firsthand the difference that free, quality healthcare can make in people’s lives motivates us to continue expanding our reach.

As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to our mission of delivering life-changing healthcare services to even more underserved communities across Nigeria. We’re excited to see where this journey takes us and how many more lives we can impact.
